Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
Classes and Testing

Alyeska Canine Trainers is proud to offer the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test. The purpose of the CGC Program is to recognize dogs who are well-behaved companions at home and in the community. The 10-step CGC Test is open to all mixed breed and purebred dogs. Test items assess behaviors such as Sitting Politely for Petting, Coming When Called, Walking Through a Crowd, and Reactions to Distractions. All of our Beginner and Advanced Beginner classes are geared to prepare you for the CGC.

Periodically, Alyeska Canine Trainers also offers a six week CGC prep class. This class is designed to explain the specific test procedures and requirements, as well as to help you your dog be successful during the test.

2010 Test Dates:
Saturday, March 20

Future dates TBD (next test may not be until October)
